The Singleton-Moss Design Process

The Singleton-Moss design process begins with interested customers contacting us with ideas of what they'd like in a piece.  Be it a person-to-person visit in our gallery and studio, or correspondence via email, phone or mail, we have the capabilities to collaborate with our clients from the initial idea through to the finished piece.

First, referencing our customers ideas as well as our own design know-how, designer Linda Moss creates one to three variations of the potential piece in colored renderings (below).

Once our customer finds a sketched version that meets his/ her satisfaction, we transfer the two-dimensional picture to a three-dimensional wax model.  This wax is also presented to our customer for approval.  The wax is then cast in gold or platinum, depending on the customer's preference.

Goldsmith Ken Singleton then manages the piece, using his experience and renowned craftsmanship to create a finished piece (above, finished version of elk ivory and opal pendant design) that meets the high-quality standard synonymous with Singleton-Moss jewelry.
